Meet the Staff of the Rural Health Initiative.
The Rural Health Initiative consists of two paid employees – one full-time administrative staff, and one part-time field staff – serving the tri-county region of Shawano, Waupaca, and Outagamie counties.
In addition, our staff works closely with a Rural Health Initiative Steering Committee within each of the counties the program serves. The Steering Committee is a group comprised of various individuals within healthcare and agricultural industries that volunteer time, efforts, and ideas. The committee assists the Rural Health Initiative staff in numerous ways, including networking, offering assistance with signature fundraisers, offering insight on community needs, in-kind donation, and numerous other tasks.
The combined efforts of the Rural Health Initiative staff and the local Steering Committees helps build buy-in and commitment within the counties the Rural Health Initiative serves, helps maximize resources, and allows us to reach a greater number of farmers and agribusinesses.
