Daily G-BOMBS Provide Anti-Cancer Benefits & Adequate Nutrition
“G-BOMBS” is an acronym used by Dr. Joel Fuhrman as a way to remember the best anti-cancer,
health-promoting foods on the planet. These are the foods that you should eat every day

G is for Greens.
Leafy greens are the most nutrient dense of all foods with the majority of calories from protein. Green vegetables are rich in folate, calcium, and lutein (an anti-oxidant).
B is for Beans/Other Legumes.
The soluble fiber helps with decreasing LDL-cholesterol, stabilizes blood sugar, helps us feel full and decreases risk for many cancers.
O is for Onions.
Onions/Garlic have beneficial effects on the cardiovascular and immune systems, as well as anti-diabetic and anti-cancer effects.
M is for Mushrooms.
Consuming mushrooms regularly is associated with decreased risk of breast, stomach, and colorectal cancers. Mushrooms should only be eaten cooked: several raw culinary mushrooms contain a potentially carcinogenic substance called agaritine.
B is for Berries.
Their vibrant colors mean that they are full of antioxidants reducing risk for diabetes, heart disease, cancer and improving brain function.
S is for Seeds/Nuts.
The omega-3s, fiber and anti-oxidants aid in diabetes, heart disease and cancer prevention.

Outreach Health Coordinator Dawn Dingeldein’s daughter, Mackenzie, has made eating fruits and vegetables a priority in her life to help her successfully fight cancer.
One of the easiest ways to get your G-BOMBS into your diet is juicing as many fruits and vegetables as you can on a daily basis. Here she is juicing a recipe of spinach, kale, carrots, oranges and apples!
