KITCHEN WELLNESS We bring wellness services and information directly to you at your kitchen table. The Rural Health Initiative Inc. (RHI) is a 501(c)3, non-profit program focused on the growing concerns and barriers related to the health and safety of today’s farm families.
At the center of this program is a trained Outreach Health Coordinator (OHC) who makes in-home or on-site house calls (visits) to interested farmers (including their family members and staff ages 18 and older), and/or agribusinesses, to provide preventive health screenings (with immediate test results for blood pressure, blood glucose (blood sugar), triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, height, weight, body mass index [BMI], body fat percentage, and A1C), offer health coaching on relevant topics, and share community referral information to Shawano, Waupaca, and Outagamie counties.
Most importantly, the Rural Health Initiative (RHI) lends a trusted and confidential ear to listen to your health and well-being concerns and needs. A concept we call KITCHEN WELLNESS.
